Ondas has acquired DYZNE for $876 million, according to a Breaking Defense report published Tuesday. The purchase marks the ninth acquisition in two years for the drone company.
The firm plans to use the deal to integrate its portfolio of drones “from surface to stratosphere,” executives said. Development of a new AI command system with Palantir is central to that integration effort.
The acquisition spree positions Ondas as a consolidator in the drone market. Its expanding fleet spans low-altitude tactical systems to high-altitude platforms, a breadth few competitors match.
Financial terms beyond the $876 million purchase price were not disclosed. Ondas has not indicated whether it will seek additional acquisitions or pause to absorb the eight prior deals.
Some analysts question whether rapid integration of nine distinct firms can succeed. Past consolidations in defense tech have stumbled on culture clashes and software incompatibility.
