The foreign ministers of Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia met Friday in Turkey to discuss efforts to broker a deal to end the war between the United States and Iran. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. This was the third such gathering of this "quad" group since the conflict began.
Pakistan has been the primary mediator, hosting peace talks just last weekend. Egypt and Turkey have also been instrumental in pushing negotiations forward behind the scenes. The involvement of Saudi Arabia, the Gulf's most powerful nation, is considered crucial for any future agreement.
