Birdsview, a Leipzig-based startup behind Avys, an AI email marketing agent for online shops, has raised €2.5 million in a Seed round. The company plans to use the capital to expand Avys, which automates email marketing campaigns for e-commerce retailers.
The round was led by Fortino Ventures and Newion. Birdsview had previously received backing from TGFS during its pre-Seed phase, according to the company.
Avys positions itself as a specialized AI tool for online shops, a space increasingly crowded with marketing automation platforms. The startup claims its agent can handle complex email campaigns without manual intervention, though the market includes competitors like Klaviyo and Omnisend.
This investment signals continued V.C. interest in vertical-specific AI agents for e-commerce. As online retailers seek efficiency gains, tools that automate repetitive marketing tasks may see growing adoption, but differentiation remains a challenge in a maturing sector.
Founder background and specific traction metrics were not disclosed in the announcement. The company’s ability to scale and prove ROI against established players will be key to its future growth.
