Starfish Space has raised more than $100 million in funding to scale up production of its satellite servicing spacecraft. The company develops vehicles designed to extend the operational life of satellites already in orbit through refueling, repairs, and repositioning services.
The spacecraft are designed to dock with existing satellites and perform maintenance operations that can significantly extend mission lifespans. Starfish Space's vehicles use robotic arms and specialized docking systems to approach and service client satellites without requiring pre-installed servicing hardware on the target spacecraft.
