NASA released one of the first photographs from the Artemis II mission, showing Earth from space with visible auroras and zodiacal light. Mission commander Reid Wiseman captured the image, which shows two auroras in the top right and bottom left of the frame, plus zodiacal light in the bottom right created by sunlight scattered through interplanetary dust.
Artemis II represents NASA's return to crewed lunar missions, marking the first time astronauts will travel to the Moon since the Apollo era. The mission is currently en route to its primary objective of conducting scientific observations during lunar orbit.
